Off-Site Backups for Linux and FreeBSD Systems
Our off-site backup service is designed to provide reliable, recoverable backups for Linux and FreeBSD systems. Backups are managed as part of your infrastructure operations, with retention policies designed to protect against accidental deletion, system failure, ransomware, and operational mistakes.
Backups are encrypted in transit and at rest, and stored using provider-enforced immutability. Neither the protected systems nor customers have the ability to modify or delete backups within the retention window. Even administrative deletion of backup sets is delayed, ensuring protection against both malicious and accidental data loss.
Retention is configured per system and can include a combination of short-term and long-term recovery points. Default retention policies provide multiple layers of recovery, and can be adjusted as requirements change at no additional cost.
