A-Team Systems Joins the Open Source Security Foundation
A-Team Systems has joined the Open Source Security Foundation (OpenSSF), a cross-industry initiative of the Linux Foundation focused on improving the security of open source software.
This continues our broader participation in the Linux Foundation as a Silver Member and reflects the same practical commitment: supporting the open source ecosystem that makes modern production infrastructure possible.
Open source software is foundational to the systems our customers rely on every day. Linux, FreeBSD, web servers, databases, application runtimes, cryptographic libraries, automation tools, and many other components are built, maintained, and secured through open collaboration.
For A-Team Systems, joining OpenSSF is a natural extension of how we approach infrastructure operations: secure systems require disciplined maintenance, reliable upstream practices, responsible vulnerability handling, and production-aware remediation. Those concerns are not limited to individual environments. They are shared across the open source software supply chain.
That shared responsibility is becoming more important as exploit discovery accelerates. AI-assisted research and automation is shortening the time between vulnerability discovery and active exploitation. Production teams need strong upstream security practices, coordinated disclosure processes, better tooling, and practical guidance that can be applied safely to real systems.
OpenSSF helps coordinate that effort through initiatives focused on software supply chain security, developer best practices, vulnerability disclosure, repository security, SBOM tooling, security education, and other disciplines aligned with the realities of running production Linux and open source infrastructure.
