Supporting the organizations that sustain core infrastructure software
For more than a decade, we have provided annual financial support to a small number of organizations tied directly to Linux and FreeBSD infrastructure. That support reflects a long history of working with these systems in production and a practical commitment to the maintainers and institutions behind that work.
Foundational software depends on active, funded communities
The Linux and FreeBSD systems people rely on today were built, maintained, and improved over many years by maintainers, foundations, release teams, and security teams. Modern infrastructure still depends on that ongoing work.
For A-Team Systems, financial support is one practical way to stand behind the software ecosystems we work with every day. It also reflects a long connection to the upstream projects and institutions behind the systems we help customers run.
Supported organizations and institutions
A-Team Systems provides annual financial support to the following organizations and institutions:
Linux Foundation
Member organization
Coordinates development and governance of the Linux kernel and a broad portfolio of foundational open source projects. Central to the software, security standards, and tooling many Linux environments depend on.
FreeBSD Foundation
Supporter
Funds development and advocacy for the FreeBSD operating system, including release engineering, security response, documentation, and long-term stewardship of the platform.
Why long-term support matters
Production infrastructure still depends on software and institutions shaped over decades. The tools many organizations rely on today exist because people invested years of effort building, maintaining, securing, and guiding them. Supporting the foundations and institutions around that work is one practical way to help it continue.
The Linux Foundation helps coordinate work across the broader Linux and open source ecosystem, including the kernel, standards, and shared tooling many production environments depend on. The FreeBSD Foundation helps ensure FreeBSD remains a viable long-term production platform through funding, structure, and continuity.
Financial contributions do not provide governance authority or guarantee outcomes. They do help support the conditions that let important work continue, including funded maintainers, active security response, and durable institutions behind foundational software.
