As a firm geared towards political marketing and communications, All Points recognized the emerging power of the Internet as a political tool and wanted to compliment their existing skills in print, radio and television mediums.
Consistency and quality lead the path to getting a message across effectively; Not only did they want to expand their service offerings to include Internet media, but it had to be part of a coherent strategy for each project they took on.
A simple web presence isn't enough in today's world, the Internet not only needs to communicate to visitors but it is an integral part of building a supporter base.

Working closely with All Points and their clients, A-Team Systems built on the vision and materials being used in traditional marketing mediums for each client while capturing the modern nature of the web.
Behind the scenes we developed a system called eRoots℠ to allow campaigns and groups to build and communicate effectively with their supporters.
Some of the features of eRoots℠ include:
- Full supporter database management and tracking: see what websites and programs are driving sign ups.
- Micro-targeting of emails via criteria such as location, interest and contributor status.
- Email reporting shows what emails are making it to their supporters and being viewed.
- Easy content updates, news postings and more via a common WYSIWYG editor.
- Drag and drop of images into online galleries.
- Live previewing of rich emails let the campaign see how their emails look and who is going to get them.

| Background: |
Desktone is an industry leader in the implementation of virtual desktop solutions and delivers service providers the technology to offer hosted subscription-based "desktops as a service".

| Challenge: |
Having a selection of separate applications which were picked based on their individual merits, Desktone needed these 'islands' to integrate, link, and talk to each other.
Employees already had Active Directory credentials; Adding additional usernames and passwords for each application would be cumbersome and undesirable, as would having to log into the 8+ applications individually.
Additional accounts were needed to provide authentication to support and customer sites, without the security risk of adding these external users to their internal A.D. tree.

| Solution: |
A-Team implemented a set of customizations for each application, providing linking and referencing between them as needed. For example: trouble tickets (OTRS) can be linked to the appropriate entry in the defect tracking system (JIRA) and vice versa. All of this appears seamless to the end user, who can easily link and unlink from either application, or quickly jump from one application to the other.
We configured all applications to leverage the internal Active Directory server for authentication and permissions. A single sign-on (SSO) interface was developed which allows the user to enter their credentials once and be logged into all appropriate applications. This SSO system required no specific SSO support inside each application, just LDAP support.
Finally, A-Team deployed an OpenLDAP based directory server to house customer and partner accounts. This LDAP system was then connected to the partner and customer support web sites. A custom web-based interface was developed to allow easy and visual management of these accounts.
- Single sign on: Employees only have to enter their username and password once per session.
- Leveraging of existing Active Directory for employees and deploying an OpenLDAP server for customers provides the best of both worlds.
- Fully managed permissions either via A.D. for employees or via a custom administration UI for customer and partner accounts.
- Seamless application integration eliminates copy and pasting and reduces potential errors.
